Description -
“Slow down, she said” feels like a whisper caught mid-breath.
At the center, the angel is barely contained by form, more suggestion than figure. She rises from a soft, almost dissolving background, her body a slender thread of blue that anchors her just enough to be seen.
Around her, colour blooms like emotion rather than anatomy, translucent veils of lavender, blush pink, and pale turquoise sweep outward in long, feathered strokes, as if her wings are made not of feathers but of light passing through memory.
There’s a quiet radiance at her core, a small warm halo of gold that doesn’t blaze but gently glows, like the last light of evening resting on the horizon.
It draws your eye inward, then lets it drift again along the flowing lines that trail behind her, dissolving into the canvas like thoughts you can’t quite hold onto.
The space around her is spacious, almost empty, yet full of breath. It feels like time has stretched.
The painting doesn’t insist. It murmurs.
And in that murmur, the angel seems less like a distant being and more like a presence beside you, one that leans close, touches your shoulder lightly, and reminds you, with infinite gentleness...
Slow down.
